Hello right now I am down to one daily program for 37 minutes a day. I watch it on line when I can during my lunch I have to confess it is a soap opera that I havent been able to give up yet. In the mean time I love to read work Word Search Puzzles which is my favorite hobby and listen to old time radio shows on mp3. As long as I have my Word Search Puzzles I am a happy camper sometimes that is all I need. I sit down to work a few and before you know it 2 or 3 hours have passed. I also love to play games on the computer I belong to a website that starts with a p and ends with an o and is for letters and they do have boggle there. I am currently reading a series called Tales of Grace Chapel inn it is about 3 sisters who come together after there father dies and decides to turn the family home and turn it into a bed and breakfast they have some opposition from the towns people but in the end they give in there is about 40 books in the series but they are all good.

It just seems lately the older I get the more the tv grates on my nerves. I don't know if it is the volume or what but when other people have it on I just cant stand to listen or be around it I prefer the peace and quiet without it. I know I cant sit and watch anymore 1 hour shows since I cant sit still for the hole hour I have to get up and do something. I know on Sunday's I prefer to go tv free and have just a nice relaxing day to do what I want.

I too have ADD (inattentive, not hyperactive type), and recently became aware of all the visual stimuli around me causing havoc on my brain. I could not focus enough to actually organize or even clean/pick up, but what I COULD do was the clean slate approach- take a room, or even a counter top, and clear every last thing off of it, putting it in another room. One by one go through each item and either keep/donate/sell, etc... you get the picture. Once I got every last item off of every counter and table in the house, I could feel my mind actually get clearer, having gotten rid of all the visual clutter. Don't get me wrong, I am nowhere near a "neat" person by nature, but it was something I had to force myself to do out of necessity. Now I am a complete minimalist, and it my mind has never been clearer. I've realized this is the only way I can actually function. Others might consider minimalism a cold, sterile environment, but sorry, they don't have to live inside my head. To each his own!

It's not how many things you have - it's about learning new behaviors:

- Vertical storage is claustrophobic.
- Shelving, cupboards, closets, desks and tables are not really needed.

- Store items beneath furniture.
- Use just a sofabed to dine, study, etc.

- 3 tops x 3 bottoms = 9 outfits
- Iron clothes on a towel over a kitchen counter.
- Rather than use a hanger, iron an outfit and wear it.

- Rather than a dishrack, dry dishes on a towel.
